Level 3:

These routes are the heart of the adventure, featuring a 25–75% off-pavement mix. You should be comfortable navigating loose gravel, rocky sections, and light desert sand. This level is perfect for riders with previous off-road experience who are ready for the "Baja factor"—where long days, shifting winds, and technical terrain test your endurance. If you’ve successfully handled adventure bikes in the dirt and have the stamina for a full day of desert riding, this is the route for you.

Level 4:

Expect to spend the vast majority of your journey off-pavement, tackling "unconditioned" terrain that demands high-level technical skill. This level is for seasoned riders who are proficient in deep sand, steep ruts, technical rock gardens, and unpredictable silt beds. You should have significant experience handling a dual-sport or adventure bike in these specific conditions before attempting these routes. Beyond the technicality, Level 4 includes the most grueling "intriguing" miles of the peninsula—where the terrain is raw, the days are long, and the environment is unforgiving. If you are a veteran of the dirt and live for the challenge of a truly unrefined trail, welcome to the big leagues.

An approved DOT Helmet with use of shield or goggles, Adventure/enduro/motocross boots, armored jacket and pants, recommended 3L hydration pack, gloves and a fully maintained motorcycle.

As of the moment our tours are without a chase truck until further notice. However you should have a basic tool kit supporting your bikes needs. We will do everything we can to help assist you to get you back on the trail. In the event that you are unable to proceed with the tour we will assist in accommodating you to get your bike towed to the nearest garage. (due to limited resources Tijuana, Mexicali, and La Paz best options). The tour will still proceed without you in this instance. If you are unable to complete a tour that you started due to physical or mechanical reasons, you may be issued a partial credit to attend a future event within 12 months.

We stay in carefully selected hotels and ranches in Baja. We will do our best to provide single occupancy, but that might not be available at all locations.

All breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are included. Alcohol is not included.

Yes. Riders must carry valid motorcycle insurance for Mexico. We will provide suggestions on where to purchase it. Two suggestions are https://www.mexpro.com/ and https://www.bajabound.com/

Riding the Baja Peninsula is a journey through shifting microclimates, where the air transforms from the crisp, pine-scented mountains of the North to the tropical desert heat of the South. In February and March, you’ll find the "Sweet Spot"—prime riding weather featuring mild daytime highs in the 70s and 80s, though the high-altitude nights at Mike’s Sky Ranch can still dip toward a bracing 40°F. As you roll into April, the desert begins to bloom and warm up, providing long, sun-drenched days perfect for the coastal stretches of the Sea of Cortez. If you opt for an October adventure, you'll experience the tail end of the warm season; while the Southern tip remains tropical and humid with highs in the 90s, the Northern trails begin their cool-down, offering clear skies and dust-settling breezes. No matter the month, this tour is designed to chase the best conditions—just be prepared to swap your mesh gear for a warm layer as you transition from the sun-soaked beaches to the rugged "High Country" peaks.

Yes. A motorcycle license is needed for any of our rentals and or tours. This is not just for legal issues but also for the safety of yourself and others. This is non-negotiable and will be verified prior to start of tour or rental.

We generally like to keep it to a minimum of 5 riders
